Chances are that if you are accessing this site you already know what email is.

Email stands for electronic mail.
It is a messaging system that works over the internet
and allows you to exchange messages with friends.

So what is an Email List?

You may have noticed that some people who send you emails send them to a list of people.
You may even have done that yourself.
It CAN get a little time consuming and annoying if you have a large group of people,
all interested in the same topic,
and you need to type in ALL those addresses CORRECTLY!
That is where an Email List comes in.

An Email list AUTOMATICALLY
sends ALL MESSAGES sent to the list
to ALL MEMBERS of the list.

This saves time, effort and shares information and ideas!

We operate 2 lists.
NorthNet is for members of Guides Australia,
within the North Metro Region.
NorthNet Junior is for Guides under 18
in the North Metro Region.

There is also a list starting soon for Olave Program Members in the Region.

All our lists have RESTRICTED MEMBERSHIP,
making them a safe venue for exploring email.
Our NorthNet Junior List is FULLY MODERATED,
this means that not only must they be a member to send a message,
but ALL messages are scanned by a Leader before being distributed.
This means that there is no chance for someone's nuisance brother
to send something unsavoury to the list.
This DOES NOT mean we are going to restrict the girls voicing their opinions!

NO ATTACHMENTS are allowed on either list,
This stops the possibility of a virus being spread.

If you wish to share a file, attach it to an email to me and I will make it available as part of this site!
