HELP!!!!!!!
For the Newcomers

Hi! and welcome.
We know you are new and the internet can be scary!  We thought the same when we first started using it.  This page is to try and make it less scary and easier for YOU, the newcomer.

One of the first things you need to learn is how to NAVIGATE!
You have already started doing this by coming to this page.
Sometimes it is hard to know just WHERE to click.  USUALLY there will be underlined words, often in a different colour. Sometimes it will be a picture, button or Icon.  If you move your mouse so the cursor moves over the page, you will find it changes, normally to a hand with a pointing finger (unless you have a teenager in the house that likes to experiment!)  Anywhere you find this altered cursor is a place you can click to go elsewhere.  This is called a LINK.

As you get braver and start following links, you may find yourself starting to get lost.
Remember, you are a GUIDE!
DON'T PANIC!!!!!
All browsers (that is the software program that you use to explore the internet with) have a thing called a BACK button (an icon to click on). This is usually found near the top left hand corner of the screen.  Each time you click on this button you go BACK one page!
Hey, that's almost logical!!!

Another handy navigation tool you will find on
most pages in our site is a line of text saying
Return to Northnet or Back to Northnet!
either of these will take you back to our home page.
That is what the Index page is called.
Try clicking on one of them now!
Most pages also include a link to our Site Map, this is like an index to the whole site.
