1. Purpose
P.E.M's purpose is to provide consulting services to
public and private organisations
on issues associated with their environmental,
occupational health and safety and
organisational development objectives.
2. Mission
P.E.M.'s mission is: Committed to achieving continuous
improvement of
sustainability
and productivity by a strategic approach to the
integration of environmental and
occupational health and safety management, within a
quality system framework.
3. Quality Policy
(Effective Date - March 4,
1996)
To implement this mission statement, PEM is committed to
continuously striving to
provide services which are equal to the best in the world
for an organisation of
similar
scope and resources.
The services will be continuously improved, by seeking to
build long term
relationships with clients, other consultants, and
exploring ways to gain increasingly
effective feedback from clients, to meet their changing
needs.
The essential elements which serve as the basis for the
operation of the organisation
are that P.E.M.:
- - seeks to be at the forefront of moves to achieve
environmental sustainability;
- - will seek clients and collaborators who are at the
cutting edge of
environmental and
OH&S management;
- - maintains an openness to new information
concerning better ways of doing
things;
- - operates in a way that respects the needs and
rights of management,
employees,
customers and the local, regional and global communities;
- - applies a total quality approach of 'being
excellent the first time' to
operations;
- - complies with (but is not limited by) legal
requirements and the EIA
professional
Code of Ethics;
4. Quality Objectives
To provide the highest possible quality service to
clients, which exceeds their
expectations in relation to the :
- - value for money;
- - timeliness;
- - comprehensiveness of addressing the
issues;
- - promotion of environmental
sustainability;
- - contribution to social equity;
To apply the principles and practices outlined in AS 9004
in so far as they are
relevant to the size and resources of the organisation.
