Depending on the nature of the project PEM can participate as collaborator, joint tenderer, or specialist member of a project team, providing project management leadership and/or specialist input.

The objective is to apply best practice approaches to ensure regulatory compliance and the effective implementation of appropriate management systems for occupational health and safety and environmental management.
PEM's development of the OHS Management System will be based on the the emerging Australian Standard, presently in draft form, which is explicitly compatible with the JANZS 9000 quality series. The environmental management system is based on the Interim Australian Standards for EMS's.
