(This page, in particular is getting very old... haven't updated it in some time.)

Before I go any further...
http://mathworld.wolfram.com This amazing place gives in-depth explanations of almost anything you wanted to know about maths. I wish my maths was better because I love it's concepts so much. What mathematical ability I had as a child was almost crushed by a primary school teacher who used to terrify me when I made mistakes. I curse him forever. This mathworld site is helping to repair that damage a little.

Search Engines

There are many search engines. They come and go and are superseded by others. Each search engine has a different flavor and will be good at finding certain things. No matter how good a search engine is, another engine will likely be better at finding a certain class of targets. That is why I tend to use a Meta-Search engine -- specifically, Dogpile. multiple engine searchers - very useful because each search engine works a different way specialised searchers common or garden variety web searchers (many of these search newsgroups too) Australian & NZ search engines
