Extract from the Magdeburg Books of His Majesty's City of Minsk.

In the year one thousand seven hundred seventy eight, on the eighth day of the month of December.

In the Magdeburg City Office of His Majesty's City of Minsk, comparendo personaliter the honorable patron, Jan Szymanski, presented ad acta this testament whose thenor soquitae estque is as follows:

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. Since every man living on this Earth must sooner or later pay the debt of mortality, therefore I, Kazimierz Tumilowicz, a unit captain (rotmistrz) in the Polish army, keeping that fact in mind and being advanced in years, of an ill body but sound mind, decided to put forth the following testamentary disposition of my last will. Firstly, once my immortal soul has separated from the sinful body, I entrust [it ?] to my son, Jan Tumilowicz .... of the Roman Catholic parish church ... and set apart three hundred Polish zlotys for exequies and the holy mass, and my hereditary estate, Gudelewszczyzna, with the subjects, located in the County of Grodno, that I inherited from my father Bazyl Tumilowicz, and including all the livestock and other goods and possessions, I designate and bequeath to the said son of mine, Jan Tumilowicz, for ever and all time and ... Thus ending the testamentary disposition of my last will, I bid farewell and give my blessing to my son, Jan Tumilowicz, and ask of him to remember my soul and the soul of his mother, while also asking forgiveness of my servants and subjects for my trespasses ..... I may have been a nuisance during my life, while asking him not to harm the subjects, but be of help to them in need ... he will eat the worldly bread through the work of their hands ... signed with my own hand before the invited witnesses ... on this twelfth day of January in the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy four. At the bottom, signature and seal of the person making the testament ... verbis: Kazimierz Tumilowicz, a unit captain in the Polish army;

invited to be a sealer of this testament by the above identified person with regard to the matter described within;
