Hi! I'm Robert

I don't know why my human has put me here, I am not Latvian but a Tuxedo cat called Robert. I live in a house in East Burwood, a leafy Melbourne suburb. I own four humans and a canary called Merv.

I am a good watch cat and growl if unknown humans come near my house and sometimes I bite. I also get very upset and make a terrible noise if another cat comes into my territory. I sometimes chase birds away from my trees. Wattle birds are nasty and they sometimes attack me to chase me out of the tree they think is theirs. I do not like the possums that live in one of my trees, they drop their dirt all over the ground.

In the summer I like to hunt and catch lizards and play with them. My humans don't like me playing with lizards, they take them away from me and let them go. My favourite toys are a piece of string and a ball made out of a piece of crunched up paper. I like to chase the paper ball all over the house. I get my humans to pull the piece of string along the ground and I chase it.

I am training my humans to feed me if I am hungry at 4:30 in the morning. I jump on them when they are asleep to wake them up. If that does not work I scratch at the bed clothes and then I start knocking over framed photos on the dressing table.
