Having never studied art formally, I don't claim to have much of a
handle on what constitutes "good" art. For me, though, a couple of artists
stand out from the crowd; their works speak to me in some way that I don't have
the knowledge to define.
I am probably most fascinated with the work of Frank Frazetta. He has
produced a surprising range of works, from comics early in his career, through
oil painting, airbrush, pencil, charcoal, sculpture - in fact, you name it, and
Frazetta has probably worked with it. Incredibly, he produces unbelievable
results regardless of the medium.
The wildlife paintings of Guy Coheleach are simply magnificent. He is
most well known for painting big cats, although these works actually constitute
but a small portion of his output.
