The Caving Club of Victoria
Aims To:
protect surface and subsurface cave environments in accordance with
the Australian Speleological Association Code
of Ethics and Minimal
Impact Caving Code and current land management practices.
provide opportunities for members, their families
and potential members to experience caving in a variety of environments
for the purposes of study and recreation
undertake cave exploration in order to increase knowledge
of caves and karst and document this research in accordance with Australian
Speleological Federation documentation
practice.
encourage safe caving practices and provide opportunities
for all members to continuously develop their caving skills.
communicate with members of the wider caving community
for the purpose of
- exchanging ideas and information
- increasing the understanding of cave and karst
environments
- promoting cave and karst conservation
- promoting safe caving practices.
establish and maintain good relationships with all
clubs, agencies and individuals concerned with, or interested in, caving
and cave and karst management.
