I am of Indian origin, now settled in Australia for the last 7 years. I have a graduate degree in Accounting and a post graduate diploma in systems management. I am a member of the Australian Society of CPA's and Toastmasters International

A brief summary of my professional experience, my current projects and some of my favourite things are as follows:

Professional Experience

Over the past 4 years, I have been working for the State Government in Victoria, Australia where I have been mainly involved in the following functions:

• Analyse user requirements and assist in developing information systems to facilitate the streamlining of processes;
• Administer Lotus Notes Databases and train users in the use of software packages;
• Participate in various projects involving IT, Economic and Financial analysis;

Software packages that have enabled me in developing business systems and solutions include the Microsoft suite of products and Lotus Notes.

Current Position and Major Projects

I currently work for Business Victoria, an investment attraction agency within the state of Victoria whose main activity is in the area of investment and export facilitation. By utilising the expertise and knowledge of various industry sector groups, companies are able to cut through red tape and get all the assistance they need to do business in Victoria.

My role within the agency is to enable the collaboration of information and knowledge by developing, integrating and implementing business information systems.

Current major projects are:

• Training staff in the utilisation of recently implemented Lotus Notes Databases;
• Analysing existing financial reporting systems, and streamlining processes in this area;
• Participating in various outsourced projects to ensure that all requirements are met within the specified framework; 

Interests

I am an avid lover of music, especially Contemporary Jazz Fusion. Click here for a site that I have dedicated to this music genre.

My various other interests include playing Badminton, going to the gym and dancing. I generally like anything that makes me feel positive and good about myself. Travelling and meeting a diverse range of people and cultures are among my other passions in life.

My favorites on the net consist mainly of Australian, Indian and Educational links.

I am proud to be an Australian, and hence my interest in Australian sites.

I am equally proud of my Indian background, therefore my interest in Indian sites.

Finally, to succeed in life, education and a professional attitude is a must. Hence, my interest in educational sites.
