1. Make sure PC-Task isn't using graphics(chip) memory for emulation if you have fast memory. If your graphics memory goes down by more than 200K when you start PC emulation it probably means you don't have enough free fast memory for the amount of Buffer/PC RAM you have selected on your option screen. Reduce the amount of PC memory or Buffer size, until you think all that can be allocated in fast RAM is being allocated there.

2. Try update after # of frames with setting of 2 or more as well as immediate update for the PC modes you want to use to see which is best for that software. Some PC display modes are faster on AGA than on graphics card (because they are planar etc) try both.

3. Make sure you have plenty of buffers for the partition that contains your harddiskfiles and your HardDiskFiles are unfragmented.

4. Don't run EMM386 unless you really need it.

5. To install Windows copy all the installation files to a directory on your PC emulation first then run setup from there.

6. Run Windows in standard mode if possible win/s.

7. Add /TESTMEM:OFF to your HIMEM.SYS line.

8. Upgrade to the latest PC-Task.

9. Get a faster CPU.

10. Buy more RAM so you can use a bigger buffer size or more PC RAM.
